Ständig überkam mich diese Halluzinationen.

I was constantly overcome by these hallucinations.

Ich wachte eines Morgens auf und sah,

I woke up one morning and saw

dass das Fenster mit einem Netz überzogen war.

that the window was covered with a net.

Ich ging zum Fenster und berührte es.

I went to the window and touched it.

Da sprang das Netz auf mich über und bedeckte meinen ganzen Körper.

Then the net jumped onto me and covered my whole body.

Ihr Atelier liegt direkt gegenüber der Psychiatrie.

Her studio is located directly across from the psychiatric hospital.

Auch mit den heute 96 Jahren arbeitet sie dort täglich.

Even at 96 years old today, she works there daily.

1958 zieht Kusama nach New York, taucht in die Kunstszene ein.

In 1958, Kusama moved to New York and immersed herself in the art scene.

Sie malt Netze der Unendlichkeit,

She paints nets of infinity,

Bilder ohne Motiv und Komposition, ohne Anfang und Ende.
