Das ist Kelsey. Und das ist Janusz. Und das ist der Obststand in der Nähe von unserem Büro.
This is Kelsey. And this is Janusz. And that's the fruit stand near our office.

Wir stellen euch heute verschiedene Obstsorten auf Deutsch vor.
Today we're introducing you to different kinds of fruit in German.

Das ist ein Apfel. Das ist eine Banane. Janusz beißt in den Apfel.
This is an apple. This is a banana. Janusz takes a bite of the apple.

Kelsey mampft eine Banane.
Kelsey munches on a banana.
[00:40]
Mampfen ist ein umgangssprachliches Wort für Essen. Janusz schält eine Apfelsine.
"Mampfen" (munch) is a colloquial word for eating. Janusz peels a tangerine.

Kelsey mag es nicht, Apfelsinen zu schälen. Davon werden die Finger immer klebrig.
Kelsey doesn't like peeling tangerines. They always make her fingers sticky.

Kelsey mag aber gerne Apfelsinen. Deshalb muss Janusz die Apfelsine für sie schälen.
But Kelsey does like tangerines. That's why Janusz has to peel the tangerine for her.

Das ist eine Melone. Es gibt Honigmelonen, Wassermelonen, Netzmelonen und andere Melonen.
This is a melon. There are honeydew melons, watermelons, cantaloupes, and other melons.

Janusz teilt die Melone mit einem Messer.
Janusz cuts the melon with a knife.

Die Melone tropft auf den Boden.
The melon is dripping on the floor.

Das sind Weintrauben. Kelsey isst Weintrauben. Janusz mampft Weintrauben.
These are grapes. Kelsey is eating grapes. Janusz is munching on grapes.

Das ist eine Birne. Janusz schält die Birne und teilt sie in vier Stücke.
This is a pear. Janusz peels the pear and cuts it into four pieces.

Das sind Himbeeren. Kelsey isst gerne Himbeeren.
These are raspberries. Kelsey likes to eat raspberries.

Das sind Brombeeren. Erdbeeren sind besonders im Frühling beliebt.
These are blackberries. Strawberries are especially popular in the spring.

Janusz liebt Grapefruits. Janusz schält die Grapefruit.
Janusz loves grapefruits. Janusz peels the grapefruit.

Dann gibt er Kelsey ein Stück ab, aber nur eins. Den Rest behält er.
Then he gives Kelsey a piece, but only one. He keeps the rest.

Das ist eine Kiwi. Eine Kiwi, zwei Kiwis.
This is a kiwi. One kiwi, two kiwis.

Kelsey teilt die Kiwi in zwei Hälften und löffelt sie aus.
Kelsey cuts the kiwi in half and spoons it out.

Die Kiwi ist etwas bitter.
The kiwi is a little bitter.

Das ist eine Zitrone. Eine Zitrone, zwei Zitronen.
This is a lemon. One lemon, two lemons.

Janusz liebt Zitronen im Tee.
Janusz loves lemons in his tea.

Wenn er besonders wagemutig ist, isst er Zitronen auch roh.
When he's feeling particularly daring, he also eats lemons raw.
